8 Suspects, Everyone Has a Secret: Murder Mystery Dinner Party
Everyone at Hollyfield Hall on Christmas Eve had a reason to be there, and every one of them is hiding something. These are the eight suspects your guests will play.
- Robin Fairweather. Augustus’s child and managing director of Fairweather Toys. Polished, busy, always checking a phone that has no signal.
- Kit Fairweather. Augustus’s younger child, an artist and the family’s free spirit.
- Morgan Fairweather. Augustus’s glamorous new spouse, married in May after a romance on a cruise.
- Dr Jamie Thorne. The village doctor and Augustus’s chess partner of twenty years.
- Frankie Bell. Housekeeper of Hollyfield Hall for thirty-one years. Sees everything.
- Alex Ellery. The family lawyer. Never without a fountain pen.
- Charlie Snow. A famous toy designer and Augustus’s old rival, invited at the last minute “to make peace”.
- Sam Holly. Augustus’s godchild, a party planner who organised tonight.
Sharing out the parts
Every part can be played by anyone, and the names work for any gender. With 6 or 7 players, the host guide tells you which parts to leave out.
Give the louder parts to your most outgoing friends, but don’t overthink it. Each guest’s cards tell them what to say.
Because every suspect has a secret, everyone will look guilty of something before the night is out. That’s the fun of it.
